Conference

LIVING THE DREAM – DELIVERING SUSTAINABLE AND INTELLIGENT HOUSING IN IRELAND

Date: Thursday 1st April 2004

Venue: Chief O'Neills Hotel, Smithfield, Dublin 7

The conference will be presented by INTEGER Intelligent and Green and will explore how the application of environmental and intelligent technologies can produce better building performance and quality in social and affordable housing as well as for commercial housing developments.

The purpose of the conference will be to:

•Introduce the INTEGER concepts;
•Launch INTEGER Ireland;
•Announce the first INTEGER house in Ireland; and
•Establish a Partnership Programme among designers, researchers, developers, builders, local authorities, housing associations, technology suppliers and government agencies.

The INTEGER Partnership in Ireland will enable the key players to share their experience, engage in a live demonstration and research programme and to work together to ‘re-invent the home’ to give better building performance and value.

The conference follows a successful invited seminar held in DIT Bolton Street last year and the granting of planning approval for Ireland’s first INTEGER house in Dublin which will be available to research groups and suppliers for research and evaluation.
